Statement as of 09:16 CDT le 08 septembre 2008 The Flood Warning continues for the Ouachita River at Thatcher lock and dam near Calion. * Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 7:00 am Monday the water elevation was 85.7 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * Flood elevation is 79.0 feet. * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 90.0 feet by Saturday. Over the upcoming weekend... another round of rainfall is possible during the crest on the lower Ouachita River. Be prepared for the possibility of a combination of a High River and locally heavy rainfall. 941 am CDT Mon Sep 08 2008 The Flood Warning continues for the Ouachita River at Felsenthal Arkansas. * Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 900 am Monday the pool stage was 71.4 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood pool stage is 70 feet. * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 79.0 feet by September 19th. Additional rises may be possible thereafter. * Expect minor lowland flooding in the Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge.
