Statement as of 1:33 am PDT on October 10, 2008 ... Record high minimum set at Las Vegas Thursday... The low temperature only dropped to 70 degrees at McCarran International Airport Thursday October 9th. This set a new record high minimum temperature for the date... breaking the old record of 69 degrees set in 1963. The normal low temperature for October 9th is 60 degrees. Official weather records for Las Vegas date back to 1937.
