Statement as of 9:31 am MST on August 27, 2008 ... Record low high temperatures for northern Arizona on Aug 26 2008... City (period of record) new low high previous record/year Bagdad (1929 - 2008) 84 85 in 2003 These records are preliminary pending official reports.

	Public Information Statement
Statement as of 10:02 PM MST on August 27, 2008 ... More severe thunderstorms for Yavapai County... Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms affected northern Arizona again today. The strongest storms were over Yavapai County where three severe thunderstorm warnings were issued during the mid and late afternoon hours. Doppler radar indicated that the severe thunderstorms were capable of producing nickel to quarter size hail. These storms were over sparsely populated areas and therefore few reports were received. The largest hail report was one-half inch in size. Additionally... the storms that formed today moved quite slowly and posed a small stream flooding threat. A small stream flood advisory was issued for west central Yavapai County at 458 PM this afternoon. Doppler radar indicated rainfall estimates of over 2 inches and the primary concern was the Santa Maria river affecting Highway 96 southeast of Bagdad. No reports of flooding were received from this event.
