Statement as of 23:37 MDT le 11 octobre 2008 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am MDT Sunday... A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am MDT Sunday. Snow will continue overnight with accumulations of 4 to 8 inches by daybreak Sunday. In addition... strong south winds ranging from 20 to 30 mph with occasional gusts to 45 mph will generate widespread blowing and drifting snow. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

Statement as of 5:30 am MDT on October 12, 2008 ... Record low temperature set at Grand Junction... At 5:27 this morning, the low temperature in Grand Junction, as measured at the Grand Junction regional Airport, dipped to 29 degrees. This sets a new record low for October 12, breaking the previous record of 30, last set in 1986.
