The Winter Storm Warning is now in effect until 6 PM MDT this afternoon.
Expect an additional 1 to 4 inches in the eastern Magic Valley and the south Central Highlands... and an additional 2 to 6 inches in the Snake River Plain. In the Caribou Highlands and in eastern portions of the upper Snake River Highlands... additional snow fall should range from 3 to 8 inches. Snow should taper off considerably by noon... but light accumulations will continue until the late afternoon.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
