... Coastal Flood Warning in effect from midnight tonight to 11 am EDT Monday...
The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a coastal Flood Warning... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 11 am EDT Monday.
West-northwest winds will increase tonight to 15 to 25 knots create conditions favorable for rip currents along the beaches of Northern Lake Michigan and portions of Northern Lake Huron. Winds and waves are expected to subside tomorrow morning.
As a reminder... rip currents are strong... narrow channels of water that flow away from the beach. If caught in a rip current... swim parallel to the shore until out of the current... then swim back to the shore.
