Statement as of 03:16 EST le 08 novembre 2009 ... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am EST this morning... The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 9 am EST this morning. Areas of rather shallow but dense fog will hang over northern lower Michigan through 9 am this morning. The fog will quickly dissipate shortly after sunrise. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Statement as of 5:30 PM EST on November 07, 2009 ... Record high temperature set at Alpena mi... At 344 PM this afternoon... the temperature at the Alpena County Regional Airport reached 65 degrees. This breaks the old record of 64 set in 1916.
