The National Weather Service in Topeka, KS has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the south Grand River at Urich.
* From Tuesday evening to Thursday afternoon.
* At 9:15 am Monday the stage was 8.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday before midnight and
continue to rise to near 24.2 feet by early Wednesday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday early afternoon.
* At 24.0 feet... flooding occurs across locations within 0.5 to 1.5
miles of the river. Areas affected include low lying pastures along
with cropland and secondary roads.

* From Tuesday afternoon to Thursday morning.
* At 9:00 am Monday the stage was 16.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday early afternoon and
continue to rise to near 21.0 feet by early Wednesday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday morning.
* At 20.0 feet... the West Bank of the creek begins to flood.

   Carroll... Cass... Chariton... Clay... Clinton... Cooper...
Daviess... De Kalb... Grundy... Henry... Howard... Jackson...
Johnson MO... Lafayette... Linn MO... Livingston... Macon...
Pettis... Platte... Randolph... ray... Saline and Sullivan.

* Through Wednesday evening

* another round of heavy rain will affect the area late tonight
through Wednesday afternoon. Widespread rainfall amounts of up
to 2 inches are expected... with locally higher amounts possible.

* Rivers... creeks and streams will be especially susceptible to
flooding due to this excessive rainfall. In addition... many
roads and low water crossings may become flooded and
impassible.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
