... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 2 am to 11 am CST
The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Wind
Chill Advisory... which is in effect from 2 am to 11 am CST
* Timing... wind chill readings will fall to dangerous levels with the
passage of an Arctic cold front late tonight.
* Temperatures will fall to 5 below to 10 below zero by morning.
* Wind chill values... 20 below to 25 below zero.
* Other impacts... frost bite can occur on exposed skin in 30 minutes
or less in these conditions.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
