...Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 am CDT this morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Kansas and Nebraska...including the following areas...in north central Kansas...Jewell... Osborne...Phillips...Rooks and Smith. In Nebraska...Adams... Buffalo...Clay...Fillmore...Franklin...Furnas...Greeley... Hall...Hamilton...Harlan...Howard...Kearney...Merrick... Nance...Nuckolls...Phelps...Polk...Sherman...Valley...Webster and York.

* Until 10 am CDT this morning.

* Although the coverage of steadier...moderate to heavy rainfall should continue to gradually diminish this morning...at least localized...spotty pockets of moderate to heavy rain could persist into the daytime hours.

* Much of the watch area received at least 1 inch of rain overnight...with more localized corridors of at least 2 to 4 inches. Some of these areas could be observing mainly minor flooding of low-lying areas and streams...and additional rainfall amounts up to around 1 inch this morning could potentially worsen the situation.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
