... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Saturday morning through Saturday evening...
The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Fire Weather Watch... which is in effect from Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
Wind speeds will be increasing to 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts... and relative humidity values will be dropping to near dangerously low levels. Combine those two conditions with fine fuels supportive of explosive fire growth potential... and a Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Saturday across central and north central South Dakota.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions might occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings. Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field.
