Winter has arrived with a vengence, albiet a grand morning to be looking outside. Bright sun, a hint of sea smoke in the harbour, brisk NW breeze making the -12C seem like -20C, snow blowing about seaonal at best. Temp to remain low for next few days, not too much snow in the yard, enough wind to move it off next door.
Emily has a babysitting assignment for the day and into the evening, if the parents are still travelling, believe one of the kids has a hockey game. Travel would be poor anywhere in the province due to the snow and wind.
Will have a morning doing some shoveling I suspect, not enough in the yard to get out the snowplow, but certainly enough on the steps and deck to be moved.

Mornin CHUNKS, a SAP! if things keep going this way you could ruin my image. However I must standby statement, just caught me off guard and realized Emily is or has come of age all of a sudden.
Storm left us in pretty good shape, cold like a witchs breast this morning, some blowing snow, crew have the road in more than good shape, traffic moving well. I have a little snow to throw in the air and the wind will move it out of the way, then should be able enjoy the rest of the day.
Off to deliver Emily to her babysitting gig, house on the back road willtake her car up sometime this afternoon, hers does need a bit of shoveling to get her mobile. Rob at church so the heathen will have to do it while he is at worship.

Lobster price remains high @$5.50 this week, but not many lobsters to be had consequently more of a talking point than any value. See the Maine lobster catch in 2011 broke the previous record, 100M lbs more than a little impressive. Obvious the bottom has a few of the creatures to contend with, I have it in my head that less 10% of the lobsters that enter a trap are actually harvested. If that is anywhere near factual how many lobssters are on the bottom.
A few guys talking of setting next month for the spring run, full tides last week I believe after that back in the water they go.

Thanks for the comments, hard for me to relate to fancy dresses, sports jacket, suit or dress uniform has been my experiance on speacil occasions requiring formal attire, easy.

Sorry, but your rep has been blown. You are exactly like my husband when he saw Sarah in her gown. 'GET IT' were his only words and there was definite mist in the eyes.
I shovelled snow for two and a half hours this morning, before breakfast. It had drifted in front of my car and speaking of cars - both were covered in snow and ice. What a job. Fortunately for me, I had went out and sprayed all the rubber and locks on MY car so no problem getting doors open - Hubby - Not so lucky. :) It blew like a wild thing all night. All our trees are completely coated in heavy ice and snow. Fortunately, the sun has come out and has some strength, so I see a bit of recovery there.
Glad to see that one member of the clan is going to sabath and saying a word for the rest - personally, I always get Jeanne to say a word for me on Sunday :)
Well, I have to finish breakfast and then I am going to tackle the path to the wood-pile. Hope you get all cleared without back-aches and pains.
Snowshoeing here I come - provided I get the rest of the stuff done.
