Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see the northern and central Sea are pretty much free of any cloudiness.
The southern Sea has had passing remnant clouds during the night but most have dissipated by now.
There is a very large wet cell that has been building all morning just north of Mazatlan and is moving out into the Sea and is spread out almost half way across the southern crossing to La Paz at 6 O’clock. By 7 O’clock it had
Looking further south can see that has been a lot of thunderbumper activity back in the mountains behind Puerto Vallarta and Cabo Corrienties during the night. Right now there are no thunderbumpers in the area but the area is blanketed with remnant clouds.
The rest of the Riviera is pretty much clear of any storms or cloudiness.
Looking now into out Tropical Kitchen where we have Sister Emilia exiting stage left as a tropical storm. She will probably be a remnant low by tomorrow afternoon on her way to Hawaii.
Himicane Fabio is now on a more northwesterly track and is headed north up the outside of the Baja peninsula. He will stay well off shore and weaken to a tropical storm by tomorrow or perhaps early Tuesday then degenerate into a post-tropical remnant low later in the week and be around 500 miles west of Turtle Bay.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where in general the west coast is experiencing seasonal weather typical of July.
In southern California a trough of low pressure that has moving in from the Pacific will be in the region for the first part of the week bringing dryer and cooler temperatures to the area. By midweek some remnant moisture from Fabio may spread across the southland bringing primarily some cloudiness.
About 1000 miles off the southern California coast is a 1032 high that will start to move toward the coast late in the week into the weekend bringing with it some warmer temperatures to the southland.
.Looking now over to the southwest where the 24 hour loop is showing a lot of thunderbumper cells moving up the center of Sonora yesterday afternoon and moving through Arizona and into the Great Basin.
This morning I can see that the heavy flow of thunderbumpers moving north through Sonora is quieted down this morning with just a few cells here and there. The flow is expected to start again this afternoon resulting in more thunderbumpers and showers through tomorrow then somewhat drier air will move into the area by midweek resulting in a decrease in thunderbumper activity before picking up again late in the week and weekend.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the pleasant southerlies will continue today in the northern Sea and pick up a bit tomorrow and then back to the very moderate southerlies on Tuesday.
The central Sea looks like another 3 days of moderate southerlies.
The southern Sea WSW today and tomorrow and then Tuesday have more of a northern component.
All in all it look like a very pleasant 3-day forecast period. I’d expect to see some thunderbumper activity back in the mountains on the Baja side during this period.
