Flooding Continues Along the Rio Grande

Hi everybody, Dr. Rob Carver filling in for Jeff while he's on vacation.

Things have quieted down in the tropics. No invests are active, and the tropical waves at sea don't have many thunderstorms associated with them. However, the moisture associated with Alex and TD Two is still bring widespread showers to Mexico/Texas which is contributing to flooding alon the Rio Grande. Here are several videos documenting the troubles along the Rio Grande.

Finally, here's a story about relief efforts in northern Mexico for villages cutoff by flood damaged roads and bridges.

Notice how often the word hate is used on this blog. I should do a paper on it. But I would hate to spend the time. There is a big difference between an off-topic entry which is a diversion and lightens the mood of the blog and inflammatory remarks which are off-topic on weather and have no relevance on these blogs. Now that you've gone to bed of course I answer. Timing is not my strong suit. :) Yeah I miss the chats as well. Speaking of film I probably have a hundred rolls and a few disposable cameras laying around everywhere. For some reason I never got around to getting them developed. Who knows whats on them. Lol. I wait much longer they won't be able to be developed. It will be a thing of the past. Although I did read somewhere that crime scene photos have to be taken with film still because it's too easy to manipulate digital. My parents have some snapshots of John Wayne backstage during the filming of The Green Berets. They were talking about having them appraised one day. I told them never to put them online. Guess we'll have to wait for the Antiques Roadshow to come to town. :) Haven't been blogging a lot lately. Mostly have my nose stuck in a book. Right now reading Sarum about ancient England. And I learned where the term, "Caught red handed" came from. Lol. I just love learning stuff like that. So I'll forget it tomorrow.
