Burrowing In......

Spent some of the morning at Fort Vancouver. It's less than a mile from my new apartment. I cannot wait to get my SLR, so I decided to go enjoy my Sony Cyber Shot.

While walking around the outside of the post complex, the maintenance guy Fred invited me into the Red Cross Building. Then he gave me a map of the base to show me which of the building are open to the public.

Just when I think I have figured out how to upload the photos to my blog....they change the procedures! I have posted them in my photo section. I will bring them to the blog when I figure it out...again.

Praying for Peace

Yesterday was a very sad day in Clackamas, OR. A single gunman entered the mall with 10000 Christmas shoppers and sales associates. He opened fire and set off over 60 rounds of assault rounds.

Sadly, he killed two and wounded a 15 year old young woman..with a chest wound. Then he turned the gun on himself.

This is a season of perpetual hope. I am praying that our community will unite in these sad times and rekindle the peace that all are entitl...

Bad day in paradise!!

Wednesday, while taking a few things to storage, I happened upon an accident involving a car and a wheelchair scooter. The scooter was Laing on it's side and holding the right front tire off the ground. The lady seemed ok, save a cut on the hand and a bruise on the leg.Two hours later (exactly), while enroute to storage with another load, I was rear ended. The pickup bumper hit the spare tire that my Sportage has on a gate at the rear of my car. The tire & gate push...

Exercising the flippers!!

The flippers are starting to get quite the workout. I have joined a fitness club and begun stopping in after work.of course, swimming is my poison of choice. It is bringing back a lot of childhood memories. My "perfume" has returned. chlorine is everywhere. I love it!!I cannot wait to get back to the point where I can begin to swim laps like I did when I was back on the swim team. But that will be awhile.LBF

Sorry 'bout the MIA

Wow! has it been so long?!In September when he took me to newport, we had a good time. on the way home his truck broke down and he had it towed for 140 miles, thanks to AAA. The following Friday, I was doing errands around town and my car wouldn't start. I had my car in the shop for about 5 days and gave him rides to and from work. His car remaind in the shop for the better part of 4 weeks. - that was crazy and it got real old, real fast.The doctors started playing ...
