Ok,we were waiting for some summery weather,but as the saying goes,be careful what you wish for. Dangerous Heat indexes yesterday and today,up over 100 degrees in many areas.Heat advisories go into effect at 11 a.m.It was brutally hot yesterday afternoon and a very warm oppressive night.
I went home early and slept most of the afternoon,and feel much better.Rest the best medicine.
Already in the 80's early in the morning.One more warm day tomorrow around 90,before shwrs/thstrms tomorrow afternoon set in and end this mini heatwave.

Hard to believe that last night's overnight lows of approx. 72F degrees were actually 20F degrees higher than a portion of last week's highs of 52F! Next Monday, etc., our lows of last night will be our highs for the day! That can throw anyone's system out of whack!
Nevertheless, glad you (and the Mrs. (?) are feeling better after a much needed lengthy rest.
This "Nervous Nilly" is concerned about the severity of t'storms that could accompany that cold front coming through tomorrow afternoon. My nerves aren't what they used to be and I easily jump out of my skin to the sound of unexpectedly loud bangs. Hope the only outcome brings another beautiful and comfortable weekend ahead! We could all use that!
It was great that, last night, Big Papi swung the bat like his ole self again. Unfortunately, it's come too late in taking the Red Sox out of the AL basement. Did you hear the rumour that upper management is considering trading Youkilis, for other players, around the "All Star" break? Sounds like they're gambling with the team again, but how much lower can they go in the AL standings right now?
Big Papi,is having a great year so far,he's really assumed leadership on that team and boy do they need leadership,lets hope they can continue improving.
As far as Youkilis,I think he's seen his best days,and now that they have Westbrook and new young blood,he's expendable.
