The 5 day
Get your order in soon! :)
Tempting, but no thanks, Ranger type dude :)
I'm too old for all that.
I switched over to 9mm and 12ga semi-automatics for close ups, a custom made 22-250 bolt action bullet machine for "long range concerns" and a Remington 350mag for anything else with armpits.
:)))
That's our boy.
:)))
Only thing left to do is drink rum and try and remember what I forgot....Uh? Do I have that in proper order?
..and a man alone and his Utube app :)
OMG, did you guys notice that Pottery has no hands?
There's no hair on the top of his head either!
He looks a lot like the Swamp Thing.
You don't suppose he's one of those shape-shifter things do you?
I guess its not easy being green. :)
Have a safe trip and enjoy the family time...even if you do have to "work".
reckon I'll finish my avocado the run the vac around the house. Wasn't on a list or anything, but can't hurt my rating.
Back in a while.
I should know better. It was pretty funny though!
Back later, have to clean it up, and then take a nap.
Took down all the Bowie knives, the daggers, and the short swords.
Still a long way to go.
cleaning is not in my vocab. ;0
Yer welcome :)
Nice, what mph
convoy convoy heh heh
WU is doing a wobbly or my puter is sayin no
You won't believe this but my mate Louise is 72 she sent me that, dang she got more energy than me.
Having a good weekend?
Not too bad here.
Long hot day, but cloudy and cooler now.
Think I'll sleep well tonight!
Pink, purple, chartreuse, I have problems with those.
:):))
Talking about shape-shifting....
I was watching some of the women's gymnastics.
Boggles the mind and some other parts of my being as well. Dont they have bones???
Incredible!
Sounds like you got an excellent trade for her.
Well, Pottery, we've seen you in pink shoes.
chartreuse would prolly not be that bad!
:o)
Ski,
Good for you. Catch lots of lobby's.
Enjoyed the bandit vid.
Dated a redneck girl for a short while that drove that exact car.
I had a 70 T/A and an 80.
Installed a computerized water injection system on the 80 that let me crank the Turbo boost...until the computerized thingy failed and melted the pistons. Put the Ram Air IV from the 70 in the 80 and it rocked. On blocks in the barn now waiting restoration...one day.
As for the redneck girl...last I knew, she worked at Gilley's in TX...but that was a while ago.
Watching a lovely sunset with distant booming at the moment.
Back later.
Talkin about Bananas, I heard the most biZare ad today.
Banana Hammock resturant opening today at Smugglers Cove. Islamorada.
Nice one.
Out for the night.
Have a great evening friends!
Er, Um, Shoes don't count.
You need to read up on your latest edition of "Runway Trends".
Which is not a magazine about airplanes as you might have thought. Or asphalt, perimeter lighting, fire trucks or radar.
In fact, you might be interested to learn that there are several of these types of mags around here. Ancient Person loves them.
And I have to admit (but please don't tell ) that I took a furtive glance at one, and shoes seem to be "the thing" for the coming season.
I will try to ascertain just what "season" is being touted here, as I feel that it will give me a distinct advantage to know this, next time I am over on the main blog.
I can see it now....
"What do you guys think about 96L chances of coming to Miami as a cat 5?"
My response, " It needs help....Stilletto heels with chartreuse straps and hootchie-gucci patent leather purse with diamond clasp will do it!"
Actually, come to think of it, that reminds me of Peter Sellers in "Being There". See it, if you have not.
We could start a whole new trend over on the main blog by talking Peter Selleries....
Boggles the mindless.
My favorite line from the Pink Panther Movies was when Peter Sellers knocks over a big statue and it smashes this lady's piano she says "that's a priceless Steinway" and Peter Sellers looks at it and says "not any more".:)
Looks like we might get some rain today!
Went against my rules and drank some hot vodka again.
Got all the hatches open this morn, finally some breeze has kicked up and it has cooled off a bit.
And when Inspector Cluseau is confronted by a large dog, he says to Sellers "Does your dog bite?"
"No" says Sellers.
The dog bites Cluseau..
"I thought you said your dog does not bite!"
"But that's not MY dog" says Sellers.
heheheheheh
"Being There" is Sellers last movie.
It's the story of a very simple man who spends all his time tending a garden and watching TV.
Then a series of strange circumstances come along and he ends up becoming President.
He says the most foolish things which the media cannot understand, so they think he is a Genius.
Watch it.
You people get up waaay too early!
As for fashion. I'll stick with basic black.
Solves the question of does this go with that and who cares?
If I'm feeling particularly festive, maybe I'll put on a red Columbia shirt.
Coffee on the deck then breakfast.
BBL
(sorry, can't quite get you in the frame Pottery!)
Headed outside for a bit.
Cooking the last 3 beef tenderloins on the barbie.
RTL,
Tried giving you a call, but you were at choir practice.
Had to talk to SB instead. Not really a bad deal!
Told her I was going to give you a bad time, but now she would have to do it!
Fix those holes in the walls.
Marital bliss depends on it!
LOL
Back later...
I plan to go to bed shortly after dinner so as to watch the Mars landing...(see LowerCal or Skyepony's blogs for link) on NASA TV.
Wackiest landing sequence I've ever seen...reminds me of something me and my fellow rocket enthusiast would have designed in Jr. High. Hope it goes well...just glad I'm not riding it.
Still...beats an air bag landing!
Had a busy busy day and may try and watch the landing myself.
I'm awake that early most of the time anyway.
Will check in later on.
Has a big parachute that is supposed to slow it down.
I didn't think Mars had an atmosphere.
Don't you need air for a parachute?
yuk yuk yuk

And we are thinking of going there to live ?
I think I'll take my chances here. Even with the co2.....
Had a Good Day today.
Alex and Amy came for lunch and stayed late. Nice.
Made a bow&arrow, and showed Alex how to shoot it properly.
But he says he wants to be an Olympic Diver.
So that's OK too, I guess!
Showers today, but cooler. Nice.
Good tune,,,, but the weather channel local forecast? WT?
You all have now entered the random button zone :P
Remember it?
How things change :)
Try those headphones on this one WSM :)
Thanks for the tunes and whatnot!
Watching NASA TV to see if the Rover lands properly.
Took a drive down to West Boca yesterday for a long-overdue visit with relatives. Drove down I-95 through two different sea-breeze storms blowing in...visibility down to near zero. The worst part is the people who think that just because they cannot see the road, maybe it is not there anymore, so they slow down to 30 or maybe just stop. Noo! Was following a ever slowing line of traffic when a car with Quebec license plates passes me and then just cuts me off to get off the road in their panic. They have probably driven through blizzards with whiteouts but the Florida mobile Niagra Falls effect was just too intimidating. My reaction was to pass all those dangerous frightened potential speedbumps and find my open slot to drive out into the sunshine again.
Caught a great concert on the way home, Jerry Garcia Band, 1980. Was an unusual configuration of JGB because it was clearly Phil Lesh on bass. A very long cover of Eric Clapton's "After Midnight" carried me past route 60 through the Brevard County line all the way to my home exit on Eau Gallie Blvd. There was an interesting "Eleanor Rigby" jam in the middle...gotta find me a copy of that show.
Current project: putting together a linux-based digital music box with 10 TB total external drives full of flacs and a trusty old M-Audio Delta 44 soundcard, digital 24bit-96KHz out into custom D/A then to my stereo system.
Very nice blog you have here!
Stay lossless my friend!
Rover landed good!
Weather coming your way.
Rains falling here.
Spending time in the Bushes of the Garden.
Laters>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You'd think it was Monday or something around here.
589. Ossqss,
TWC is still using that song? Maybe I ought to make them a new mix CD. They've been playing that on and off forever!
Pottery,
Good that you are still seeing to young Alex's training. No telling how his hopes and dreams will evolve into over the coming decade, but good that his Grandpa is at his side.
guygee,
Welcome, and thanks for stopping by!
I know exactly what you mean.
I'm inland...Highlands county, but precipitation has been feast or famine of late. Temps here haven't been really out of line the last month, but the sun has been particularly brutal.
I avoid I75 and especially I95 as much as possible. They are bad enough on a nice sunny day. Throw in a thunderstorm and it's complete chaos.
Sounds like you are building a pretty good music system. I don't have a dedicated box at the moment. Just have a lot of tunes and movies on an external hard drive of the desktop machine and I can access them outside with the laptop over the network. (have some decent speakers out on the deck to plug to) or can take it wherever I'm working on the property.
Used to plug into a pair of 18 inch 3 way stage monitors and the rack setup from my drumming days, but lately Angie doesn't like me rattling the china so much.
Was cool to sit in on the Rover landing last night. From what I could tell all went according to plan with plenty of fuel to spare. A truly wacky procedure with little room for error, but then again, I'm glad they came up with something better than the old beach ball landings.
Very impressive that they pulled it off and maybe we'll learn some cool new stuff.
Patrap posted a series of pics on LowerCal's blog that are worth a look.
Wow, busy day, the sword room is no more.
Still have to take down about 47 assorted hangers,
and then putty the holes in the walls.
Will do that tomorrow. Time now for dinner.
Just had a really big boomer go over us.
Ran the sprinklers this morning for 3 hrs too.
Just like washing your car, works every time.
Back later.
Nothing spectacular...the good kind.
Relishing the cool air!
(no RTLSNK...not the stuff you put on hotdogs)
:o)
Might be interested in the sais...
Running, cycling, shot-putting.
Not me, personally, you know. Those young men and women from The Region made us all proud today.
Gold for Grenada in the 400. BRILLIANT ! Kirani James, 1st in World Championship too. Looks unbeatable for the next couple of years over 400m.
T&T ran bronze, with Dominican Republic silver.
Great night here. Long, soaking rain, cool breezes.
Happy Camper!
Rest well friends...Hood out!
I just pulled this from the random button.
Tell me this video doesn't spawn some memories?
