I won't complain about our little heat index of 108*F any more. :)
And you do this for fun, eh?"
ROFLMAO
Yes, we do it for fun "or commission". :)))
I remember "many" days in the old stained glass studio when it was time to fire up the kiln and fire some pieces of vitreous painted glass.
Somehow it just doesn't seem that hot when your watching through an observation hole and you see the vitreous paint develop a soft sheen as it fuses with the glass.
I miss those days. It didn't pay worth a hoot, but we sure turned out some magnificent windows that will stand long after I'm gone.
:)))
Backup just in case!

Thats good, we need to do that every now and then.
So, what am I doing here?
I'm supposed to be taking the day off! :)
We've been running a couple or so degrees below the forecast high for a couple of weeks. Knock on wood :)
Afternoon rains somewhere in the near vicinity every day.
My retired bro-in-law has found a new friend; his recently retired bro-in-law (that would be me).
"His" hobby is refurbishing old farm and industrial tractors and backhoes and such.
"My" main hobby requires salt water and circle hooks.
So, I'll spend this week's mornings re-outfitting my fishing boat and afternoons refurbishing a John Deere backhoe. That makes for "3" backhoes 100 yds from my back door. Anybody need a hole dug?
Next week I'll be a Longwood,Fl resident while I give my daughter's new house a complete makeover.
Hmmm...maybe I should go back to work and get some rest? :)
Orca, Pottery, and I, all retired years ago and look what happened to us!
Orca went back to work but it was too late, SWMBO had already filled out the "list".
Pottery will never get to the end of his list.
SugarBear now has my list on her computer because the written ones kept disappearing. :)
You have to do the daughters house though because thats just what Grandpa's do.
Take your fishing gear though, the Grandson needs some quality time with Grandpa too you know. :)
L8rs :))
Take your fishing gear though, the Grandson needs some quality time with Grandpa too you know. :)"
LOL :)
Yeah, those little monkeys have got "Peepa" written all over them.
...And grand daughter just finished her freshman year in college. I'm sure the "great debates" will continue with fervor. She's an expert now, don't ya know. :)))
Daylight's a'wastin
:)
I know, isn't it hilarious? Luckily we already went through that stage with our kids when they thought we were stupid. :) Then when they hit 30 or so and had to face the world on their own they realized we weren't as stupid as they had originally thought! Now the grandkids come along and they think they are now the "experts" of the world.
If we think back hard enough, and are honest enough, we remember we were just like them too. :)
Have fun, we'll keep the lights on for ya.
HA ! Thats wot YOU think!
I'm on Item 22, and there's only 8674 items left.
Should'nt be long now.......
Optimism is Good, right ? RIGHT ???
sigh.........
Of course it is my good man, of course it is.
It is what keeps us going when things look dread.
It is what gives us strength when others fall by the wayside.
It is what brings light into the dreary world around us.
It will protect you from the quicksand of pessimism.
Hold fast to it my good man,
it is a lighthouse in the fog.
Thank bloody gawd, but will check the hideouts the weekend after the opening of commercial season, then it's all good until the next mini wreck everyting in keys and what not season
Had a drama at Palm Beach Atlantic college, could only fix it this weekend before 700 people came in for some wing ding and had to hang in the dorms for a few days. Guess 'hotel' is not on their 'lets stay there list'. yikes
Hey Pottery, Righty O, is better than Righty HO, "smirk"
Where is Captain Hood?
I heard his whatsit blew away.
Oh my
I always listen to music with my head phones on on the puter, and that song was bloody brilliant. lubbed it. Put your head phones you lot. dang that was cool
I also heard about a whatsit, but that was days ago, who's got an update?
I'm home, I have internet once again, and you folks have been busy!
Gonna take a while to get my bearings and to catch up.
Oh, and I found out that my sister is at my parents house, but leaving soon, so I'm gonna head over there for a bit.
Good to be back.
The thunderstorm that took out my internet was one of the worst, lightning wise, that I've seen in at least a couple years. I hit the kill switch on the UPS and started yanking cables. None of my equipment was damaged, but the phone company took a pretty big hit. Lots of phone and internet service down for a few days. Aside from the lightning, the storm wasn't really anything special.
Now, I guess it's back to circle watching.
Sorry I wasn't around to comment on everyone's tunes.
Haven't listened to more than a few yet but quite a collection and appreciated!
Good to see you back. We have had heat, heat, and more heat.
But I promised Pottery I would not complain about it any more.
I mean, what's a little 108 heat index next to his 1750 degree kilt.
I wondered about that but was afraid to ask him. :)
Must be an islander thing.
:o)
Cloudy and breezy enough for a little deck time.
Back in a while.
I do declare.....
This is rather "not on" as the British would say.
You see how things get turned on their heads around here?
Funny thing though....
Everything was going fine until Capt. Hood came back!
heheheheheh
Good to see you, Capt.
You will have noticed by now, that there be a Tempestuous Tempest threatening to my East. Or so 'they' say, anyway.
I choose to call on it to arrive here soon.
It's been hotter that a-kilter today and recently, and a little rain would do wonders to salve the sweaty brow.
Been busy, but will return later to check what's what.
At this point, I'm leaning towards the GFS solution although it's early to call. That, however, would bring the beast close to your vicinity, but not incredibly strong.
Bears watching.
Alas, the watching will have to wait until morning.
Been a long day and need to spend the balance w/M'lady.
Be safe and rest well!
No problem, George is already on it! :)
I knew he'd do something like that!
Glad I didn't type Bares watching.
No telling what kind of image we'd have ended up with.
No, RTL...no bare end up pics please!!
:o)
That was always an interesting tune with the phones on :)
Glad to see everyone is well!
Thought I would share what my neighbors just heard, LOL
Hey Oss, yep awesome
Rob yer mug is back on! What happened? Haven't read back yet, will in a sec
Here we are at about dead calm in the upper keys.
Fished today offshore and it was just right at about 5 to 10 mph.
Slayed the Dolphin, what fun, found a weed line at 800ft with birds and circled just one area for about 2hrs, got some on the troll and a handful on the spinning rods when they schooled around the boat. Little buggers wouldn't eat after awhile so started trolling again and bam got a gaffer, I am hanging on to this thing with no belt, arm nearly falling off and prolly alot of bruises on my legs and my mate wants to throw bait out to try and catch some of the school that came up instead of gaffing the one I got cause he was zingin out line and I thought I would lose him in the motors or under the boat, so we got him thank goodness. We had plenty and called it a day.
One for the ditch!
Long day, be well all,,,,,, and shine on :)

Ah...there it is.
OK...who moved the Ark coffee pot???
Thank goodness for that!
I slept late, so it's good to know that somebody was keeping things from Escalating.
Been spending some time watching those Fabulous Young Bodies in London town.
Reminds us of the days when we were able to do a 360 pivot with 4 rotations 5 tucks 6 flips and a squat while lifting 345 lbs and swimming the butterfly over the high hurdles on a bike.
Ah, the Good Old Days.
ROFL - that was wonderful my good man!
Have actually done some of those. :)
Never did lift 345 pounds off the floor however.
Did have a blind date once that had to be over 200. :)
Luckily it was one of those lets all meet at the club sort of thing!
Never trusted the person that arrainged that ever again!
I see we are at RED ALERT STATUS.
Better go cut the lawn, back later. :)
heheheheheh, me too !
But not on the same day, of course. I forgot to make that clear!
(except for the 345 lb. bit in one lift. Like you I have lifted TONS in one day though)
He is speaking of his wallet, naturally. It was a long time ago on a pay day and the "pounds" were "Sterling". Of course, after the aforementioned carousing, his wallet was a bit lighter.
ROFL!
I won't ask how you ended up waking in the barn this morning.
Awesome last night the tribute to Phelps being the "Greatest Olympian Ever" being put to Phish's Tweezer Reprise.
See You tube embedding code changed there.
Man, I haven't heard any Robin Trower in forever!
Good Morning Skye!
Today will be a bit hectic, playing catch-up with the stuff I didn't get done last week while keeping one eye on Pottery's circle.
You know, before I went offline last week SAL was everywhere and there was a heck of a lot more shear.
What did you guys do?
The fire ants in my yard are all moving from
below ground into SugarBear's above ground gardens.
They are all 18" above the ground level.
The gardens that is, not the ants. :)
I knew I had best correct that before Pottery saw it.
So, back to the fire ants. What do they know that we don't know?
Hmmmmm
