The purpose of the entry is nothing more than opinion on the subject. I'm not allowing comments because this post is not for that, it's only for "those" who are in charge and take the time to read these comments.
IMHO:
I hope, as others, that all we love about WU continues without change. I doubt it because "those" who are in charge, think they know what we want and can make it better. They usually don't. The reason we are here is because there are limited sites that give us weather the way WE want. WU provides us with "our" weather the way "we" want to see it.
I have been a paying customer for 8 years and hope to continue to be a paying customer for the same amount I always paid and still allowed to upload my PWS data. If not, then I will have to leave and find another site that gives me the same features WU currently does.
The Weather Channel website is worthless to me as a weather enthusiast. It tells me nothing. I get more data from the WU, NWS and many other weather web sites then I get from TWC.
Based on the blogs entries I have read so far on the subject, the general consensus is WU should be left alone, as is, no changes or very minor.
I HOPE "those" in charge read these blogs and take it to heart or once again a really great website will be ruined and users will leave to find "weather the way we want it".
