everytime I see that picture of your bowl of "variety" carrots I laugh out loud!
that is just too funny..
not laughing at you, laughing with you! LOL
the pinwheel seemed to work good this year. my first year at trying it.
the canal is at my parents place near Fenwick Island, DE right along the Delmarva on the beach. it is beautiful there and i keep my pontoon boat there to cruise and fish and crab. this time of the year is so nice. the tourists are mostly gone and the geese flying over are so cool to see. especially the snow geese
thanks again Gams for stopping by. Good luck with your garden even if you can give your garden a quick turn and add the plants or seeds. it doesn't take much even for some activity
Is that a Dogwood with that much red color all over?
How many acres do you have 3 + ?
i live on 1.25 acres
not too long before i will be raking the leaves.
sounds like fun working in the greenhouse. i wish i had the room to put one in my yard, but i know i won't have the time for a few more years until my 3 year old is in school at least. do you grow any thing worthwhile in your greenhouse?
two huge oaks. sounds nice. i love oak trees. i grew up in an area they called the oaks. almost all the trees in the area that were planted were some type of oak. all the roads were named after an oak. now we need some good dry weather to dry the leaves out. like i said before - chop them up and place them ontop of your gardens. maybe add a bit of straw. what kind of oak? and how was the acorn growth this year. i have two pin oaks. you want to talk about ugh. i prefer white oak or red oak or chestnut. hopefully, they will get a good chestnut that is disease resistant.
one thing i have noticed driving around the area is that most of the leaves have dropped straight down and are sitting directly under the tree. you don't see that often. like you said in your blog - we haven't had any strong cold fronts move through with big winds.
have a great weekend yourself
Ha, you should see my front yard and already made leaf piles.
i have pear trees (ornamental - the small fruit that the birds and squirrels love) that the leaves are completely green still
Just flying by to wish you a Happy Halloween!
Gams
Well, as you are harvesting your garden,
I am planting mine. LOL Funny how that works out.
hope it is successful this year and the critters do not eat all my tomatoes!
but I do want to stop by and wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving Day tomorrow!
Take care,
Gams
