SO Katy what kind of lens did you get for your closeups of the birds.? I am really thinking of getting a canon. Mostly everyone on here has some kind of Canon, but I keep sticking to the Nikons,
Have to get a new Coolpix cause mine is shot. That has to come first. Its my pocket camera that I have with me all the time.

Carol I got a Tamron 70-300. It has EVERYTHING! Autofocus, stabilization, silent drive. And it came with a tulip hood for the end, because the end doesn't rotate for focus. I am so new at this stuff, I never saw a lens that didn't rotate when it focused, but this doesn't. I love it!

Ya I hear you on the pocket camera. I keep a Sony DSC-TX10 in my pocket all the time. Can't live without it, but I lug the Canon and a case of stuff with me whenever I can. Too much to put in a pocket though!

I was in Starbucks recently when I suddenly realized I desperately needed to fart. The music was really loud so I timed my fart with the beat of the music.

After a couple of songs I started to feel better. I finished my coffee and noticed that everyone was staring at me…

And suddenly I remembered I was listening to my iPod.

"The Secret Service issued new rules of conduct for agents Friday. They can no longer get drunk, procure hookers or go to strip clubs.

The rules say that from now on, if agents feel compelled to engage in such behavior, they can run for public office like everyone else"!

I noticed two large women by the bar.
They both had strong accents so I asked, "Hey, are
you two ladies from Scotland?"
One of them chirped: "It's WALES you friggin' idiot!"
So, I immediately apologized and said..., "Sorry, are
you two whales from Scotland ?"
That's the last thing I remember...
