Hello from Hull, the 7 mile long penninsula SE of Boston

Today I was driving, and albiet it was overcast, it was already dark at 7:15PM. Wow. And to think we haven't even changed the clocks yet. I am not thrilled about daylight savings. What are your thoughts?

On the other hand, I do love to see all the pretty houses lit up for the holidays and when it's dark at 4:30 it doesn't seem so depressing looking at twinkling lights.

Trying to see the glass half full...

Going to Oak Bluffs in the RAIN

We picked the wrong day to ferry over to Martha's Vineyard. It's raining here in Hull and will rain today and every day over there in Oak Bluffs for the rest of the week! Ugh.I know this is great for the plants....

Bored Windmills

Great beach day on Nantasket in Hull

Today was one to remember. Soft warm sand, ice cold waves, and italian subs. Ahhhh. You still cool off in the shade, a bit less humid than the past week. Got a little afternoon shower around 6pm, but it was nothing. I was out walking the dog in it and it was quite refreshing. Thought I'd pop this little note for anyone wanting to know.Hull's been great this summer. I'm a bit scared of August coming, as we don't have any AC in our house. Oh well. Times to re...

Frozen Pond!

Hurray! The neighborhood pond is frozen over. Actually in the summer is a deep baseball feild and in the winter the fire Department comes and fills it. It's really a great idea because the water is less than a foot at its deepest point. Needless to say I feel very safe skating on it. We took our new hockey sticks down there yesterday and plan to do the same again today...after hitting some local hills for sledding. Gotta love these winter sports or chance gett...
