Blogs are few and far between right now. But not as rare as my days off. I do not see one in the near future. Last day off was June 25 when I flew back.
GNU R was a big help. He left Tuesday. The good news is we have hired two exceptional guys who we are trying to lock in long term. They are kicking ass right away with a positive attitude. Showing up early, not late. AWESOME!
I had to go back to the warehouse twice after we left a couple days ago. Had a personal moment with a ground squirrel, as he let me get pretty close. They seem pretty smart.
Nice weather today, nice sunset.
The Shell flotilla is keeping us crazy. Once we fill an order it takes time to where we can deliver to a vessel or dock, as we have to meet a smaller boat to take the order to the end customer.
KULLUK left Monday. Missed it. Aivik and Nanuq left the same day.
Now it is getting cloudy.
I just heard from a college buddy who I have not seen in 35 years. My fault as much as his. He has a kid entering The University of Dayton where I “attended”. He has semi-retired while I work my ass off. I hope he joins the blog group.
Welcome Don!
Many of my favorite golf stories involve Don.
Planning another trip in October. C’mon October!

Busy myself, but mostly just frustrated beyond anything w/ the wet. 40+ inches as of Monday--that since Debby dropped first rain in late June... after 36+ hours of light drying, it's back to rain. Looks like another 1/2 inch or so for the day at least.
Starting to feel like this is Scotland but moved to the Subtropics. Urgh.
Hope everyone else has a great day. Back to work... just sneaking a few moments of eye break. Long big meeting for lunch. Hope it won't be too boring lol.
October is a great time to visit the Southern United States, weatherwise.
Hang in there, Rotty. We've had over 40 inches of rain in SE/E TX this year, although for us that is not unusual.
Did Joe get his company phone back from the loser yet?
Miyuki, I didn't know you were from Ohio. That is where I grew up (NE Ohio, nearish Cleveland, in the Amish country), so I say COOL.
Warm and pleasant here. No rain at all though. We've had a couple of days with a POP of an iffy 20%. Further east, along the Sierras they have been having some showers and thunderstorms (which they'd rather not have).
Otherwise, not much going on here. My left ear is healing nicely, but they still don't know what it was that they chopped off. That part of my anatomy is currently over at Stanford Medical School where several labs are looking into it. They are doing some sort of "molecular" studies now. I've requested that if this is something totally new to medical science that it should be named after me.
In the meantime I cook and go to other med appointments. I just fixed a papaya and am about to make a batch of a Yucatan tomato-habanero sauce. Goes with fish for supper.
Joe, appreciate you managing to keep up the pics. Always enjoy them.
Post Script: UK, please, give us your take on Prince Hairy!
Just another 8 AM til midnight day today.
I heard our friends on TOR VIKING, now on site up north, are low on food and on rations.
We have had an order for over a week, but no boats heading that way.
Very busy week, big family party to host tomorrow - a ton of baking is done, catering almost complete, garden cleared and cleaned, house ditto, balloons and banners still to do...
Hoping for a shifted path in the 5-day forecast by the 11 pm graphics. What the region currently smack dab in Isaac's path needs is rain like a hole in the head. Sigh. But, it is what it is. Hoping all WU-lers are staying safe. First 'cane for the Dom-E-Cile... not worried about myself but for the outside critters.
