Its been a long time since I last posted here. Winter weather systems is what I especially like to track and try to forecast. I am just a weather enthusiast that has a keen interest in meteorology with no formal training whatsoever. Some post will be more informative than others.
For starters........Central Kentucky looks to have its first real shot at some widespread flakes this season around Thanksgiving. More on that a little later tonight and lets see how much discussion from folks this can generate.

For quite sometime now I have been calling for this to be a wet time. It still appears it will be. This should be very significant precipitation.I also mentioned that the first flakes may fly before Halloween. Well that still looks like a good potential also as well as the end of the month into Nov......More on this later.........!

Good Afternoon folks! The dry continues. Yes a few of us had some light showers the last day or two but nothing near what we need. The little .35" that we recieved here has already dried up. At the least we need a widespread .75 or higher to do any good. As I speak eastern N.C. is under a threat of severe weather but hardly will do anything for our rain deficit. Florida has been getting their usual deluges in the southern half of the state.Taking a look at the model...
