I have a question. What's worse then a rainy day?
Answer No Rain at all!
That's exactly the problem here in So Cal. No real measurable rain since April 20th of 2007. This only coming off after are driest season to date.
The drought monitor only doesn't grow out west as fast cause for the most part this is the dry season...
I would like to say that everyday I get up and the first thing I do (unless I am running very late for work that rarely happends), is turn on the computer and check the weatherunderground hoping that something, anything at all interesting happends with are forecast. Almost every single day with an exception here or there I have been disappointed. Its so bad sometimes I just don't even feel like looking at the forecast for the So Cal area.
I also check the GFS 500 and its longterm forecast often trys to bring something interesting into the area way off in the distance, however in the next run it mentions nothing of it.
After last winters nightmare situation I can never set my hopes high for rain totals. I only expect cold snaps with lots of dry air.
Well that's enough about my rants.

Thanks for stopping by last night...I hope it isn't too boring in Southern CA. We should get a break from the heat here today with upper 80s and a 30% chance of t-storms. We heard thunder yesterday but just had sprinkles at our house.
