50, 66F, foggy. roosters up. let dogs out of pen where I made them stay all night 'cause I had to treat around the house for fleas..
10, 71F, great ride to church! b'rer rabbit's young'un in the lane - about squirrel size. saw a doe with a buck in velvet and two wild turkeys on the shoulder, about 3 miles apart.
35, low tide at CK with herons. an ibis flew over. tide coming in. bunch of small sailboats downtown. a slight breeze once you got away from the island. looked like it was fun out in the channel. sometimes I miss my sailing days.
10, high tide leaving the island. saw 2 more turkeys on the way back to the farm including a mama turkey with 8 poults following her! glad turkey hunting season is over with and the survivors can come out and show themselves again.
05, 83F at the farm, and a breeze. partly cloudy. weeded the garden yesterday. gave the bolted turnips to the sheep and the weeds to the chickens. planted more peas. repotted some purchases from last week -flowers, mostly native, butterfly attractors.

00 great nap with a breeze coming thru the window and the ceiling fan on low!
30, 77F. got 3 eggs. hay to all. dogs walked. a doe deer by the pecan tree when I went to feed donkeys. think the fawn was in the palmettos 'cause the donkeys kept looking in that direction as they ate their dinner. watered both gardens. venus glaring over the old horse barn.
50, 73F. moon finally up over the sheep pasture.
we need rain! it's so dry here the native plants wilt in the afternoon..
