06:50, 74F, clear. roosters hollaring. rain out in the gulf. rice for breakfast. dumped rain gauge. 0.7 inches of rain over the past few days.
10:00, low tide at CK. roseate spoonbills and egrets in the distance. low 80's, west wind, 5-10 knts. all black skies to the south and SW when I drove over #4 bridge. at the lab, got one of the crew to help me take down the dry bait seine and move it under cover. rain started a few minutes later. got the seine mended. mosquitos were visiting. rain ended and it started to heat up. went upstairs to do office work.
15:00, high tide at #4 bridge. it came in fast. pelicans in the tide.
16:30, 102F at the back door in the sun. 86F at the front door under the porch roof. muggy. it rained while I was at work - got 0.6". dogs outside wrestling. dixie had a slashed ear this morning. no one is talking ...
20:30, 79F, overcast. mosquitos. retreived the jr. guardian of the sheep from her ramblings through the sheep pasture. the bull dog pup was missing her. tonight might be the new moon.
