04:40,72F, foggy. faint stars showing. roosters sleeping. radar shows rain at econfina. oatmeal.
05:30, PI called and cancelled trip to econfina. went back to bed! rooster started in.
07:30, 73F, overcast and raining with distant thunder. let pups out, lil pup came back. fed same. guardian still out. roosters up. got one egg.
10:05, cows lying down out in the pasture. on the way to work. buzzards, unidentified hawk crossed the road. florida box turtle.
10:30, low tide coming in at CK. 70's, variable winds SW to NE, 5-15 knts. the entire western horizon was black as coal.. quite a rain when it came in. did not last as long as yesterday's rain. clearing with showers in the afternoon. proofed data again. we're making inroads..
15:40, high tide at #4 bridge. herons in the marsh. heading to cowtown for fuel and feed. goats got through that fence again on 345. blew my horn at the half dozen on the shoulder. finally the ditches and swamps and low spots are starting to retain water. a flock of toulouse geese was having a big time in a small pond.
19:30, 77F, damp. waxing crecent moon in the SE. mostly cloudy. walked out to see this moon from the sheep pasture. guard dog came along. left her.
20:40, 76F, dark despite the moon. guard dog barking at the gate. brought her in. night hawk.
