The tropics seem to be winding down. Knock on wood. Other than Nadine wandering around. It's hard to believe she's still out there. It's been almost 3 weeks.

Until I can get up a fresh entry, this will have to do. I've a couple of ideas but I'll have to find the enery and time to do a little research and write something up.

Cleaning house

The last entry was getting old, so I thought I'd just clean house and get rid of it.

I had a few ideas for a new entry but can't seem to find enough information online to write something up.

I guess this will be just another chit hat blog. Maybe a few word games. Chat about what you've been watching on TV, movies you've seen or books you're reading.

I've been watching the Hell on Wheels Marathon today, which precedes the season premier at 9:00 tonight.

The itinerant town that followed the construction of the Intercontinental Railway from the East really was called Hell on Wheels. Colm Meaney portrays Thomas Clark "Doc" Durant, who really was involved in the endeavour. Some of his real life deals were integrated into the show. He was a bit of a con man, from what I've read. Always scheming and not all that honest.

I remember I found some photos online of the real Hell on Wheels during last season. Can't seem to locate them now. It was a rowdy, lawless place, full of saloons, brothels, railway workers, con men, hangers on and who knows who else.
