A Little Less Hoard and Needed Repairs Done
Posted by: plapman, 11:53 GMT le 30 avril 2012 +0
Today will be mainly sunny with the wind becoming southwest at 20 km/h (12 mph) early this afternoon. The high will be 20C(68F). UV index 5 or moderate.
Tonight will bring increasing cloudiness and a 40% chance of showers late this evening and overnight with risk of a thunderstorm. The wind southwest at 20 km/h (12 mph) with a low of 10C(50F).
------------------------------------------------- ------
I wiped the tears from my eyes as part of the hoard left my yard. Before it left I needed a piece of shelving that I recueed and installed for the pioneer project. It seems the table it was on was becoming a collecter for unused items. I guess the project wasn't a good idea for a hoarder. :) I also repaired a dresser drawer that was coming apart. It's funny that once rearranded the overflowing drawer looks almost empty. Today I have to repair and rearrange another drawer in the dresser.

A Good Day on the Prairie

=================================================

Today will be cloudy with a 60% chance of showers this afternoon. The wind becoming southeast at 40 km/h (25 mph) gusting to 60 km/h (37 mph) this morning. The high for today will be 15C(59F). UV index 3 or moderate.
ToTonight will be mainly cloudy with with the 60% chance of showers continueing early this evening but clearing near midnight. The southeast wind at 40 km/h (25 mph) gusting to 60 km/h (37 mph) becoming southerly at 20 km/h (12 mph) early this evening then light after midnight. Tonight's low will be 5C(41F).
------------------------------------------------- --
Wouldn't you know it. I needed something from the hoard yesterday and it's buried deeply in the pile on the SIL's trailer. The Queen caught me looking for it and told be to get away from the pile. :) I guess I'll have to devise a different way to do what I was going to do.
Abbey and me had a good walk yesterday. I did my trash pick up again yesterday and wnded up with a sleeping bag bag full of recycleables which I dropped off. It sure makes the city look bad with cans, plastic bottles and plastic bags lining the roads.
Today I'm going to go through a box of boltd and screws and sort them out into my med bottles. It sure will make things easier to find.

In the Hoarde and More Cinnamon Buns Needed
Posted by: plapman, 13:07 GMT le 28 avril 2012 +0

Today will be sunny with the ind becoming southeasterly at 20 km/h (12 mph) early this afternoon. The high will be 17C(63F). UV index 6 or high.
Tonight will bring increasing cloudiness late this evening with the southeast 20 wind at km/h (12 mph) becoming light late this evening. Tonighs low will be 2C(36F).
------------------------------------------------- ----
I took Abbey out for her walk along the gopher ttrails yesterday then it was back to the hoarde in the garage. One good thing is that I'm sure the SIL will just move most of the hoarde to his home and when I need something I'll be able to ask him for it. :) The grandsons already have their eye on sime of my treasures. The daughter is going to shoot me.:)
I guess the cinamon buns weren't that bad. I went for one last night nd they were all gone. Well I guess it's time to try one of Alley's recipes or have a look on betty Crocker's site as Kwgirl suggested and see if I can find some with the texture I want.

More on the Bakery

Today will be cloudy with the wind becoming southeast at 30 km/h (19 mph) early this morning.Today's high will be 11C(52F). UV index 4 or moderate.
Tonight will be cloudy with a southeast wind at 30 km/h (19 mph) becoming light early this evening. The low will be near 4C(39F).
------------------------------------------------- ----
It was a good day for my walk with Abbey yesterday with he winds gone but it looks like they may be back today.
I stopped and talked with a neighbor down the street where for sale had popped up. He said it was getting too hard too keep up with the yard maintenance and him and his wife are moving to an apartment.
It will be hard for him. As a younger man he was a heavy equipment operator and now him and his son are back yard mechanics. On my walk with Abbey I often hear them working on a car in the his garage. it will be long days for him without a garage to tinker in.
Yesterday the bakery produced more cinnamon buns. I can't find a recipe that make the light lighter buns I want and always end up with biscuit like bun and not the the bread like texture I want.

A Windy Walk on the Prairie
Posted by: plapman, 11:44 GMT le 26 avril 2012 +0

Today will be sunny with a high of 8C(46F). UV index 6 or high.
Tonight will bring a few clouds and a low of -3C(26F).
------------------------------------------------- -----
On my walk with Abbey yesterday i thought I was going to be blown away. Not only was the wind strong from the NW but it was cold. It looks like today will be better,
I decded to go out for coffee last night at a bussies. I hadn't been there in a while but niether of us had much new. He's retired too and passses his time restoring a 1955 Dodge 1/2 ton. it will be a bit of a sleeper. The outside will look original but he's added a 460 cu.inch motor under the hood. It will be hard to keep the tread on the rear tires.
Tonight I may venture over to another friends and see how he's doing. The late sunsets make getting out in the evening easier while the Queen works.

Tonight will be clear with northerly winds at30 km/h (19 mph) becoming light late this evening. The low will be -6C(21F).
--------------------------------
It seems spring has left the prairie, what starnge weather patterns we have this year. I wouldn't be surprized if ir snowed again.
I tok Abbey out on the downtown walk yesterday just for a change of scenery. She sure enjoys the gopher chases more.
Today I'm goung to have to get back to the garage hoard, if the SIL doesn;t move his trailer soon I'll be moving stuff back in. :) Yesterday I checked a spare air tank I'd filled last summer and it still held the original 100 psi It came back into the hoarde as I found as need for it,the basement since last fall as it won't work when really cold. Maybe I should put a heat lamp on it during the winter and kreep it in the garaage but it surr came in handy during the basement reno.
The grandmother sure has a strange problem. it seems no matter how much I adjust the pendulum it still loses 5 minutes every night but keeps on ticking.

A New Project For the Quartz Movement
Posted by: plapman, 12:21 GMT le 21 avril 2012 +0

Today will see periods of rain ending near noon then clearing. The high will be 12C(54F).
Tonight will be clear with a low of -1C(30F).
------------------------------------------------- ------
Abbey and me had a good walk yesterday. We met a lady who walks 3 dogs along the same route as Abbey and me take. She had bad news about one of her dogs. It's old, 12 years, and is having intestinal problems. It sounds like the same disease that did my previus dog buck in. Nothing stays in the intestinal tract long enough to give nutrician to the dog. I guess she'll have to euthinize him.
I worked on the Cuckcoo movement for 2 hours yesterday but there's just too many bent parts for me too fix. O Well I have another Cuckcoo in my collection thzt is in fine working condition.
Today I may use the quartz movement I was going to use in grandmother and put it it a small gingerbread clock case I have. the case is probably over 100 years old but had no movement when I bought it at a garage sale. Using a small piece of rare eath magnet and a reed switch I sould be able to trigger an electronic westminister chime I have in the hoarde. The poor old clock case will never know what hit it with all the electronics installed in it.
Time for coffee with the Queen.

Just Another Day In the Life of a Retiree
Posted by: plapman, 12:09 GMT le 20 avril 2012 +0

Today will see a mix of sun and cloud with the high of13C(55F). UV index 5 or moderate.
Tonight will bring increasing cloudiness starting this evening. The low will be 4C(39F).
------------------------------------------------- ------
A quiet day on the prairie yesterday. After taking Abbey for her walk I started the garage hoard. I was going to take everything out and rearrange it. After hauling stuff out for 15 minutes I decided it's time to thin out the inventory. :) I have a window which was replaced 10 years ago stored in there, along with 2 bench saws and a lot of other stuff I'll never need. I bet the the day after I chuck the stuff I'll need it. :) I think one of the table saws will go out on the curb today with a take me away sign. I never went much further than looking through it when I decided I'll need the SIL's car trailer to put the junk on and haul it to the dump. There will be tears on my eyes as it leaves. :)
I think today I'll make one last attempt at getting the cookoo working again or make a case to put the quartz movement that I was going to use in the grandmother. I need another clock. :) I counted the other day and I have 16 of them on my walls of my basement.

Finally, Sucess With Grandmother.
Posted by: plapman, 13:32 GMT le 19 avril 2012 +0
Today will be sunny with a high of 7C(45F). UV index 5 or moderate.
Tonight will remain clear as the temps drop to -7C(19F).
------------------------------------------------- -----
After I pulled the mechanical movement out of the grandmother I decided to give one last attempt at getting the movement to run. After working and bending the verge so that it just cleared the top of the escape wheel gears it seemed to work on the bench. so I installed it back into the case, hung the pendulum and heard the gentle tick tock. I let it run for a couple of hours before installing the face and hands. Wonder of wonders it's still running this morning though it lost about 5 minutes overnight. I should be able to correct the time keeping with the pendulum length. :) I may have to place a clock repair shop next to the bakery and the granddaughter's pizzeria. :) If I keep this up I'll have to get the area rezoned from residential to commercial. :)
I may give the cuckoo another try in the near future.
Today I with the sun shining brightly I'll have to get Abbey out on the gopher trails as I missed yesterday due to clock repair and a light rain.

Opening the Bakery and More Clock Stuff
Posted by: plapman, 12:12 GMT le 18 avril 2012 +0

=================================================
Today will start cloudy but clearing this afternoon. The high will be 8C(46F). UV index 3 or moderate.

Tonight will remain clear with an overnight low of -4C(24F).
------------------------------------------------- -----
After taking Abbey for her walk yesterday I opened the bakery again. This time I made fudgy brownies with peanut butter icing. It turned out great but a bit too sweet for my tastes. I'm sure it will be gone in no time. I should give the grandson a big piece and let mom deal with the sugar rush he'll have after. :) It will be good exercise for the pregnant lady chasing the already busy boy. Isn't that what grandparents are for. Payback time for all the roten things the kids did when they were young.
I took another shot at the cookoo clock but I think it's toast. I can either get the eascape wheel to move but it it's open to far and slips or too tight and it won't release. I think today if I can put a uartz movement in the grandmother clock. I have one in the hoard that might be able to swing the long pendulum as it has a place to add a counterweight. I'll have to make a small box and mount the movement in it to see if I can get the heavier pendulum to swing.

A Walk With Abbey and a Lady From My Youth
Posted by: plapman, 12:27 GMT le 17 avril 2012 +0
Today will bring increasing cloudiness with rain beginning early this afternoon. Today's high will be near 7C(45F). UV index 3 or moderate.
Tonight will see the rain ending this evening then cloudy. The overnight low will be 1C(34F).
------------------------------------------
I had a good day yesyerday. I got off of my fanny and took Abbey on her walk along the gopher trails but there were no bunnies for her to chase.
We stopped and talked with a trucker. I thought he may have been given bad directions and couldn't find where to deliver his load. That seems to happen quite often and I've helped a few lost souls get home quicker. it turned out this one was just filling in his log book. He was a lucky man, his wife was the second driver. What a great way to do a job that normally keeps you away from home most of the time.
The Queen has started another geneaolgy project for a lady at work. It's funny, her mother was in the same class as me in high school. I remeber one time when I was a teenager walking with a friend looking for a place to party we knocked on a door at a home that had the lights on. It turned out to be her home and she invited us in and we partied untill the wee hours with her and her husband. Gosh I was a bad boy in my youth!
Strange how the lady keeps popping back into my life. it must be at least 45 years since me and my buddy knocked on her door and I don't think I've seen her since. The lady is now divorced from the husband of 45 years ago and lives in British Columbia.

Tonight will see a few clouds and an overnight low of
-6C(21F).
------------------------------------------------- ------
Yesterday Abbey missed her walk again, with the strong northerly winds and falling temps i decided to stay home.
I didn't tackle the cuckoo clock but did take a quartz clock apart and reassemble it just to see if I could do it. It seems to be working just fine this morning but the hour hand is a bit out of place, I guess I didn't get it on right last night. oh well a project for today.
I was talking with my sister in Medicine Hat Ab. yesterday and she told me they had snow and that Calgary ad really been dumped on. I wonder if the record breaking highs we had earlier in March was our summer. ?
Well the Queen just got up, time for coffee.

A Bunny Chase For Abbey and Disappearing Cinnamon buns
Posted by: plapman, 11:49 GMT le 15 avril 2012 +0
Today will bring increasing cloudiness and a 30% chance of showers late this morning and early this afternoon. The wind becoming northerly at 40 km/h (25 mph) gusting to 60 km/h (37 mph) this morning will bring cooler air from the north causing the high of 6C(43F) to fall to 0C(32F) this afternoon. UV index 4 or moderate.
------------------------------------------------- -
tonight will be clear with a northerly wind at 40 km/h (25 mph) gusting to 60 km/h (37 mph) diminishing to 20 km/h (12 mph) after midnight and the temps will continue to fall to -10C(14F).
------------------------------------------------- --
Once the rain quit and the sun shone yesterday I did get Abbey out for a 3 mile walk. Abbey got in a bunny chase and came back panting. I guess the vet was right she is a bit on the chubby side. The extended walks we've been getting in should solve that problem.
With the cool wet forecast today I think I'll stay home and work on the broken cuckoo again.

I guess the cinnamon buns weren't as bad as I thought. The 15 I made are all gone. Maybe today I whip up a batch of brownies.

No More Tic-Toc, No Walk and Not the Buns I Wanted
Posted by: plapman, 11:38 GMT le 14 avril 2012 +0

=================================================

Today will see the rain and fog ending early this afternoon then clearing. The high will be 19C(66F). UV index 4 or moderate.
Tonight will be clear with an overnight low of 5C(41F).
-------------------------------------------------
The Coo-Koo clock is history. I glued the broken case back together but the movement didn't like the 7 foot fall. Gears had slipped out of there bushings and the verge was bent. I managed to get the 3 gears back in place but the verge has bent also. Darned if I can get it back to the proper shape. No more tic-toc :)
Oh well I have another working cuckoo in my collection.
Abbey and me stayed home yesterday due to rain. It's just not warm enough to don the slickers and venture onto the gopher trails. Besides that the Queen would not be happy when I bought home a smelly dog.
My latest baking adventure didn't turn out the way I expected. I wanted the large soft cinnamon buns but ended up with the same type of cinnamon rolls I had with the yeast less cinnamon rolls I made. The daughter says she'll send me a recipe to make the fluffier type of buns.

A Broken Clock and a Longer Walk

Today will see rain. Amount 5 to 10 mm(0.2 to 0.4 in). The wind will be southeast at 20 km/h (12 mph) increasing to 40 km/h (25 mph) gusting to 60 km/h (37 mph) this morning. The high will be 9C(48F).
Tonight will bring more rain with an easterly wind at 20 km/h (12 mph) becoming light after midnight. The low will be 5C(41F).
------------------------------------------------- ---
It's back to the cuckoo clock project. I was making some adjustments to the positing and the thing fell to the floor.:). The case is pretty well a lost cause. The old brittle wood broke in a couple of places. Oh well I guess I'll look on the web for clocks and see if I can make a new case.
It's a good thing the great granddaughters weren't around when the clock fell. Mom wouldn't be pleased with the new words they would have learned.
I extended my walk with Abbey yesterday. It dawned on me that I could get around the area the Queen told me not to go into due to semi's coming out of and into McCain's Western distribution center. I followed the railway spur McCain's uses to ship by train and where they bring in oil for cooking the fries. From the railway I can go behind the plant and come out at a little used gravel road. Following that route I'm back to a 3 1/2 mile trek. I didn't think the extra mile would bother me but I sure was stiff last night. I wonder if Abbey felt the difference. With her gopher hunting she nearly doubles my distance. i don't know why I didn't think of that route sooner.

We had a good Easter yesterday but the granddaughter had to work. I entertained the granddaughter by make masks from paper plates and piggy noses from paper cups. The Queen cooked up a ham while the granddaughter made perogies to go with it. Today I'll be able to have ham and eggs for breakfast. it sure beats left over turkey. I don't know how we got stuck with turkey as a special meal.
Abbey and me took our walk yesterday along the gopher trails. I think if I had worn the Queen's red slippers I'd have met the wizard. Gosh it was windy. Today doesn't look much better and the high of -1 isn't inviting. I wonder what happened to our record breaking high we had a few weeks ago. Maybe that was summer and we've moved ahead to autumn. :) Weather on the prairie must make the forecasters cringe.

I heeded Shen's warning and removed the girls picture from the blog. It's strange that I never thought of the dark side of the web when I usually won't even post a clesr photo of myself and tell everyone not to put anything on the web that you don't want to share with the world.
Thanks Shen for waking me up.
I stayed home with Abbey yesterday fearing both me and Abbey would be blown to Oz. Were the winds ever strong. Even my garbage containers were moving around in the shelter beside the garage.
We had a small family gathering which included the youngest daughters boyfriend to celebrate her passing into adulthood. it was funny that her dad baked the birthday cake.
The little granddaughters sure are excited this morning. It seems the Easter bunny quietly got into our home, without waking Abbey, and left some chocolate eggs behind. It won't be long before the girls are taught the true meaning of Easter and like Santa will disappear until they have their own kids.

A Bad Experience For Abbey and a Bike Ride With the Great Granddaughters

Today

Mainly sunny. Increasing cloudiness this afternoon with 60 percent chance of showers late this afternoon. Wind southeast 30 km/h (19 mph) becoming west 50 km/h (31 mph) gusting to 70 km/h (43 mph) this morning. High 11C(52F). UV index 3 or moderate.
Tonight will be cloudy with a 60% chance of showers early this evening. There will be clearing late this evening. The wind westerly at 50 km/h (31 mph) gusting to 70 km/h (43 mph) diminishing to 30 km/h (19 mph) early this evening. The overnight low will be -2C(28F).
------------------------------------------------- -
Poor Abbey had a bad experience yesterday. The Queen, granddaughter and 2 great granddaughters were going for a short walk to give the 2 little girls a chance to to ride their new bicycles. When we pass a home 2 dogs , larger than Abbey came running out and attacked her pack style. one dog came to her rear and the other to the front. Poor Abbey didn't have a chance. I tried to scare them away by waving my arms and shouting but to no avail. it's a good thing the owner was nearby and called them off. As far as I can tell Abbey wasn't hurt. The owner of those dogs should learn to socialize those dogs.
I got a photo of the girls enjoying their ride after the event happened.

A late post today. My internet was down as well as the tv and landline
When I called my service provider at 3 pm yesterday they said it would be Monday ubtill they could send a tech to repair it.
Last night at 7 I called them again and received the same answer. I gently but forcefully let them know I was not happy with the service. A technician has just left. the problem was a misplaced jumper 2 blocks away. One of their techs had been working on the box yesterday and didn't get the wires back in the right location. I guess it pays to be tactful when contacting for service. 25 years of getting contractors to do their job properly taught me how to keep my cool and get the results I want.
When I get the after service call I'll get give the tech a high rating but the the 3:00 lady who told me to take a walk in the park to pass the time will definately get a failng grade.

Changes in Technology and Snow In the Forecast For the Prairie
Posted by: plapman, 12:24 GMT le 05 avril 2012 +0

=================================================
Today will be sunny with the wind becoming southerly at 30 km/h (19 mph) this morning. Today's high will be 17C(63F). UV index 5 or moderate.
Tonight will remian clear with a southeast wind at 30 km/h (19 mph). The low will be 5C(41F).
------------------------------------------------- --
I finally took the movement for the grandmother clock into the garage for cleaning. The darn thing still doesn't work. I guess it's just worn out from abuse by the previous owner. I have another clock that would fit but it's just a 1 day movement with a 7 foot chain. it just wouldn't work unless I hunk it on a wall. oh well the $45v dolar clock has last me 3 years and its just not worth the $400+ to replace the movement. It will just be a piece of furniture I guess.
Abbey and me skipped the walk yesterday as I was working on the clock. We did get a short walk with the Queen to a mailbox so that she could mail a letter.
The youngest away from home daughter got some good.bad news yesterday at the doctors. The 9th grandchild seems to be in good health but once again will be a big baby. She had to sons that were over 10lbs. at birth and it looks like this one will foffow suit. She just about lost the last boy due to his size.
The I'm just listening to instructions from an old commercial about how to use a dial telephone. Today in 1908 the first dial telephone was introduced in Canada. I wonder what the people then would think of the new cell phones that seem to do everything except make a simple phone call.:) I just activated an old cell phone for the Queen that I had purchaced in in 1990. It immeiately picked up the network but the techs at the phone store had a hard time programming it to change the phone number. I don't think any of them were of working age when that cell was introduced. The only thing it does is make phone calls which is all the Queen wanted. We looked and couldn't find a cell that just served that purpose. Comparing it to my Blackberry is like comparing the world war 1 fighter planes that had problems shooting off their own propellers to todays modern fighters that can take out the enemy 2o miles away never seeing the enemy.
The dirty s word s word is in the forecast for Sunday. I though spring had sprung but winter just wont let go.
Looks like it's time to change the light bulb for my web cam I just noticed last night that it was dark on the picture.

Darn this retirement I'm going to miss another long weekend:).

toight will remain clear with a low of -1C(30F).

I opened the bakery yesterday and made a chocolate cake. Even though i was 1 egg short it turn out good says the Queen.
On my walk with Abbey I stopped in for coffee at a friends. That Abbey sure has a memory. The friends wife always has a treat for her and as soon as the wife came out to join us in coffee Abbey was looking for her treat. The lady had to o back in and get Abbey her milk bone which Abbey quickly put in it's proper place, her tummy.
I was going to clean up the grandmother clock movement but never got to it with he baking and coffee drinking. Oh well I'll get at it today if I get time. The great thing about being retired is that what you don't get done today can be done tomorrow. :)
On my last trip to the ER i beat the Doctor by saying it was day 1 on the garbage cycle, I don't have to put the trash on the curb. His reply was "What a way to live, by the garbage cycle". I love it! The Queen says she doesn't think think she could live like that.

Another Trip to the ER But Not For Me and More on Clocks
Posted by: plapman, 12:35 GMT le 03 avril 2012 +0

Today will be sunny with a high of 12C(54F). UV index 4 or moderate.
Tonight will remain clear with an overnight low of
-3C(26F).

Yesterday we made another trip to the ER. It wasn't for me though. The youngest daughter has asthma and was having problems breathing even after using her puffer. We took her in the morning and she was treated with ventolin. The treatment caused her heart to race and was clocked at 150 beats per minute. The ER doctor kept her in for observation until the heart rate stared to slow down and her breathing returned to normal. Once again in the evening we had to return to the ER as she was having problems breathing again. Back to the ER we went and again she was given ventolin. While she was being treated the Queen took me home as it was getting way past my 9pm bed time. They both came home later. It turns out she has a chest infection that the first ER doctor never caught.

The daughter's biggest worry was that she was going It spend her 18th birthday in the hospital.:) In Manitoba at 18 kids officially become adults and her birthday is April 4.
I never took Abbey out for our walk yesterday due to miserable weather with light showers all afternoon. It looks like today I'll be able to get back to our regular routine.
Yesterday I pulled the cover from the grandmother clock that's been giving me problems. At one time someone had over oiled it. The plates are almost dripping oil. If you over-oil a clock movement it acts as a syphon and pulls the oil from the bushings or collects sludge if the proper oil isn't used.
I hope none of the bushings have worn or collected sludge and worn the bushings. I picked up the clock at a garage sale for $45 and don't thing it's worth paying to have it re-bushed and a new movement for it is almost $500 unless I cheat and put a quartz movement in. I don't like Quartz movements in long case clocks as the chime are electronic and don't sound right and the pendulum always swings too fast. As a clock collector that just doesn't work for me.

Beaten By a BBQ
Posted by: plapman, 12:04 GMT le 02 avril 2012 +0
Today will be cloudy with a few showers beginning early this afternoon. The wind becoming northwest at 30 km/h (19 mph) this afternoon as the temperature falls to 6C(43F) this afternoon. UV index 3 or moderate.
Tonight will bring a few showers ending early this evening then clearing. The wind becoming northwest 20 km/h (12 mph) before morning. The overnight low will be 1C(34F).
------------------------------------------------- ---
Yesterdays project was to assemble a new BBQ we had bought. The packaging said it was a 1 hour project but after 2.5 hours I went to the neighbors to get him to give me a hand. Besides the working with black on black I was having problems finding the parts. They manufacturers had little boxes packed away with labeled parts. The neighbor even had a time finding the parts. :) By the time it was assembled the Queen had already made the evening meal. Oh well it's ready to go for the next day she's off. With my afternoon tied up with the BBQ I didn't get Abbey out. It's funny how I can successfully work on a clock movement but a big item like a BBQ beats me.

Yesterday on my walk with Abbey we had some excitement. On our way home we spotted some kids lighting a grass fire and called 911. Though small when I made the call it could have spread along a railway ditch into a residential area. When the fire deportment had nearly extinguished it I walked over and talked to one of the firemen. He said it was a good call, they'd rather get the fire out while small then have to put out a large fire.
The police had arrived with the fire unit and talked to a security person at some low rentals nearby who had come after I made my call but saw the kids as they ran away after hearing the sirens. I believe the RCMP were going to have a chat with the kids.
The after effects of the TIA still seem to be affecting my leg movement. Though I'm still highly mobile They seem stiff to move. Hopefully the brain will reroute the circuitry and fix that. The human body is an amazing piece of engineering. It can fix mobility but the senses are left broken.
My neurologist told me it was a survival technique. He said if you can see you can still run, but if you can't move your eaten.:)
