A good walk yesterday. it sure is strange to be walking in slush at the end of January where temps are normally well below freezing. I can't remember a winter this mild.
While on my walk I did my usual clean up Portage campain and dropped of a carboard box, beer bottle and can at the recycle depot which is along our route on the gopher trails. It's a shame how people just throw their trash out the car wandow. Hopefully the beer containers, worth 10 cents each, will enhance the Valentines day party for the workers at the recycle depot. :)
BTW today is day 4 on the garbage cycle and my trash is on the curb. I should phone my doctor and tell him I'm still with it.

We had our wind yesterday - pretty substantial, it was. Today, not so much, but quite cool, since the front's come through.

I'd noticed first thing that some of your snow is gone, and the radar looks clear. It's a strange year for a lot of folks, although I have friends in Michigan who finally have gotten real snow, and are sounding like five-year-olds about the whole thing.

I pick up trash when I find it, too. I just don't understand why folks drop things wherever... Granted, I can be a little untidy, but when I see people throwing bottles or cans out of cars - drives me crazy!

Good morning Tony. Just got out of bed about a half hour ago. Did not sleep well last night so when I got up at 5 to feed Miss Smudgie, I decided to go back to bed. Took about l5 min but I managed to fall asleep and finally got some rest. I must have been over tired as I did not nap yesterday, hence the difficulty falling asleep. It was after midnight when I turned out the lights but I woke up at 2 and could not sleep after that. Oh sure is crazy when you get old.

Overcast here today again with another little breeze to chill it a bit more but all in all not bad. Should get up to around 38F as the day progresses. I agree it sure has been an unusually warm winter for us. I wonder if that slight shift of the earth's axis when Japan had that big earthquake could be the reason for it....

Anyway, have a wonderful day, try not to work too hard...HUGS to all.
