So, in the last presidential election, I wrote a lot about third party candidates. I made no secret of the fact that I would vote for Nader/Gonzales that year, and I did. We must say goodbye to the gods of the months.July was named for Julius Caesar (who was not a god, see) although, as WatchingTheSky obliquely noted in the previous blog's comments, this month was originally named Quintilis, being the fifth month of the ancient Roman calendar, which had its start in March, the beginning of war season.
