hello everyone. Just wanted to tell you about a great spot in Lawrence Kansas called the Wakarusa Wetlands. It's a special place full of different creatures. Unfortunately there has been a movement (for many years) to build a road through the wetlands. Alot of people think it will clear congested traffic along the main roads, it won't. This is home to many birds, mammals, amphibians and insects. Some very unique creatures. Have you ever seen a pink praying mantis? I hadn't until I visited the wetlands one summer day. I think my latest picture is an ibis, but am not sure because of the distance of the shot. But the point is it could be and that would be rare for this area. Anyway I try to get out there as much as possible because everyday I see something different. I hope to continue this for a long time. Take care. tom
