Skyepony would have to have a heated blanket up here ...
Keep warm Skye, ponies too. My big dogs are even more clingy now. Gonna be a 2 Dog nite in bed for sure tonite. :-)
Yeah my Skyepony leaned heavy on his Arab ancestry when it came to his coat & stallions don't grow much a winter coat...Gotta look cute for the girls.
Had our second storm of this week today.. still thousands without electricity and many roads and rail lines closed! I think I would rather have snow... well, maybe not!
Am afraid we will pay for these mild temps later this winter ...
Hope this storm train to Europe stops. It has been one after the other after the other.
Also, congrats on your AC! And, the wonderful deer park. Take care!
Normal temp for today is 31º .. so 26 degrees above normal !!!
Forecast is calling for highs in the mid to high 40's for the next 5 days ... before cooling off ..
It hit something like 23F here Tuesday a.m., just shy of setting a record low.
It was back up to shirtsleeve weather this afternoon and we're looking at highs near 70F this weekend.
Talk about roller coaster weather.
It's still sortof cold here but Ilove it. Dogs around here love it to and are acting just a little crazy.I'm justa little crazy because there is bear poop all over the back yard.
That's one thing I've never had to worry about!
SC has a black bear hunting season but only in October and only in Oconee, Greenville and Pickens counties.
I don't think Dad has a favorite pro football team. His peference is college football. esp his alma mater, Clemson. That's followed by college basketball. Again, his favorite team is Clemson. But he'll watch just about any college game.
He does like his Braves baseball.
If a good game is on, he'll stay up past his usual bedtime of 8:00 or 8:30. Sometimes even earlier. Though he tends to go to bed a little earlier now than he used to do (he's 84), he's always been early to bed, early to rise. I guess it comes from being raised on a farm.
Its good that your dad is interested in sports!!!
Having some strange weather here the last few days. Had two days of freeze and then back to 78. Have to love Florida. I don't love my new computer!
St Louis area would be much warmer on average then here ...
This year so far in January we have been 10-25 degrees warmer then normal ... was 58 degrees here at the house today ...
HH~ Newest on the roam here is 14ft pythons..
Started to check out the big fat storms Skye and I are going to have tomorrow. Gives me a reason to stay home. Had another bear here....can tell by the big plop he left. Our yardguy is going to get himself a super head to go on the hose. Will make cleanup easy. Ha!

Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 am Thursday to 6 am CST Friday...
Hi Wab, and friends ;)
Winds in the fields and segments of open roads will be the issue here with this storm. Those are all around us to get where we need to go, even into the more populated areas. There is still a lot of farming, or open flat lands up here.
Hope the g-kids get to go sledding at least once this year!
It was the same here Wab, but the forecast was for colder temperatures at the weekend, and the possible first frosts of 2012 next week ..... such strange weather!!
Dropped off one of those "paddies" at UPS this morning
Wanted to show you how interesting they are.
Two day shipping. You'll know it when you see it.
HH
15º with around 4 inches of snow blowing around...
that's a drop of 40 degrees over yesterdays high temp ...
Winds are starting to pick up blowing the snow around causing some drifting on country roads...drifting will continue over night causing hazardous road conditions ... visibility is down to just over a mile ..
wind chills near zero right now are expected to drop to -5 to -10 degrees overnight ..
Much different then the 54 degrees and sunny skies yesterday ..
Happy New Year to you and all the friends who stop by your blog.
Sorry, I've been "under the weather" all year so far and just now getting out to a few blogs today.
I see you have had your share of snow this year and now cold... brrrrr.. Stay warm!
We had a 'cold front' move thur last night but I am not even going to make myself look silly
by telling you about my "freezing cold" temps... LOL!
Hope you enjoy the weekend!
