Statement as of 12:29 EST le 26 novembre 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 11 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Friday above 3000 feet... A Winter Weather Advisory above 3000 feet remains in effect from 11 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Friday. Light snow accumulations will begin around midnight tonight and last through at least early Friday evening... mainly on west facing slopes at elevations above 3000 feet. Total accumulations by the end of the day Friday are expected to be in the 2 to 5 inch range across the highest elevations. In addition... wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph late tonight and Friday will cause considerable blowing and drifting of snow. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
