Statement as of 11:06 EST le 23 novembre 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the Altamaha river at Charlotte. * Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 10:45 am Monday the stage was 17.2 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 15.0 feet. * Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by Wednesday before midnight. * Impact... at 21.0 feet... homes affected on North Bank of river just downstream of gage. Fld observed 7am forecast location stg stg day time Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Altamaha Charlotte 15.0 17.2 Mon 11 am 17.0 16.1 14.5 13.4 12.7 1106 am EST Mon Nov 23 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the Altamaha river at Baxley. * Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 10:45 am Monday the stage was 78.2 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 74.5 feet. * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 78.4 feet by this afternoon then begin falling. * Impact... at 82.0 feet...
