Statement as of 4:45 am EST on November 24, 2009 ... Daily record high minimum temperature set at the Marquette National Weather Service office on Monday... The low temperature on Monday at the Marquette National Weather Service office fell to only 39 degrees... breaking the previous record high minimum of 37 set on November twenty third in 2001. November has been quite warm across Upper Michigan. Through the twenty third... the mean monthly temperature has run about 7 degrees above normal at the Marquette National Weather Service office. Only 3.3 inches of snow has fallen so far this season... which is 18.0 inches below normal. Weather records for the Marquette National Weather Service office located in Negaunee township date back to 1961. |
