Statement as of 6:01 am CST on November 25, 2009 ... On this date in weather history... In 1993... the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex chilled out on Thanksgiving day with a high of only 35 degrees and a low of 23.That afternoon... a mixture of sleet and freezing rain coated most of the area with one third inch of ice... which certainly made the annual Dallas cowboys Thanksgiving day football game quite interesting. It had been the only time that wintry precipitation ever occurred during an nfl game in Dallas.In 1970... the low temperature in Tallahassee Florida plummeted to 13 degrees... the coldest temperature ever recorded in November for the Florida state Capitol. |
