Grain bins deposited in a corn/bean field north of Thurman,Iowa. Looks like a beach ball party going on or something..WOW! [Loess Hills in background looking east..I'm sure the wind probably helped move these a little Sunday as well...I don't know how much aluminum grain bins cost...but several will have to be replaced..Sometimes this is a common view in the countryside where severe storms have charged thru near cornfields. I believe these traveled quite a distance!! [ALL PHOTOS BY MY HUBBY ]

Hi,,Yes,this happened in a town about 20 miles from here, and we had a siren go off before this as another possible funnel had been sighted near our town,..it would have been possible for one anywhere in the vicinity..I am glad the forecasters emphasized how strong an event this might have been..fortunately no one was killed to my knowledge or hurt very bad!! Again we understand the mayor of this town was quick to start the siren and the village folk responded quickly instead of like some of us do [myself included] don't take cover but check outside to see what we can see....thank you for your comments and interest! -Mindi :)

About BEME
BEME Hi KIDDIES!!! O.K.,,there seems to be a bit of confusion about this photo,,,I AM on the left,,a gal!![MINDI],,and the right-hand pic is of BOB my hubby!! I cloned the two images together,,of us taking pics of each other,,so we could give you folks an idea of who we are,,replacing the previous photo of our two favorite eagle family youngsters...We live in Shenandoah,Ia.,,and enjoy [especially me] taking lots of pictures!! I do most of the posting on here,,that's MY thing..and I try to put up Bobs when he takes some good ones...I would also like for you to check out the older ones from time,to time,,I like to share my images,,though not always the greatest,,just to give you an idea what life is sometimes like here in S.W. Iowa.. I came out here from the East Coast and interior New England, where I lived until 1992,,I also lived in Philly for a few years, and Bob is born and raised here in Shenandoah.,,but loves other places that we have visited too. I am happy to have found this site to learn how to take better photos,,meet new people, and make new friends, and be dazzled by what folks share of their 'world'in pictures on here. THANK YOU WuNDERGROUND! I appreciate all your kind words and mail, and critique as much as I enjoy giving back in kind! SHARE THE LOVE!!
