Exactly right! The summer weather is not great for coastal photography despite being very dry. There is almost always haze, mist, or fog present. The rest of the year is much better. However, 1 or more miles inland it's clear as can be, 15 degrees hotter, and ideal for photos. That's the Oregon coast...
You are so right Lori! That's why we retired right on the coast. High yesterday in Lincoln City was 59 degrees. High 17 miles inland at Grand Ronde was 97. No air conditioning needed where we live, lol. (Nor do we have it)
Love the fog bank- it does add mystery to this beautiful image !

Blue.. I was born Eureka Ca, and I can tell you
year after year of Fog and drizzle wears a little thin.4th of July fireworks, can't see em. Drive from Eureka to Arcata at night in the
fog very scary other than that not to bad?
