A tribute to Mount Airy's favorite son, Andy of Mayberry, who passed into the Lord's keeping yesterday at age 86. This bronze statue of Andy and Opie stands in front of the Andy Griffith Playhouse and Museum in Mount Airy. Locals have already been gathering to pay their respects.
