I was walking around my house to take a picture of our chockecherry bushes for Maria, but my path was blocked. I believe this was a snakey romantic interlude, and I KNOW they were not please to be interrupted. I had to get closer to see if they were rattlesnakes or not. They are not..they are Bull Snakes..YAY!!! Where you have Bull Snakes, you have fewer rattlers. That is a GOOD thing!

you answered my obvious question.. possibly mating season? so far have not encountered any slithering critters in my gardens.. These photos are apt reminders to everyone to be especially vigilant..tis the season!

and when he started that hissing, I got a bit
of a chill, but most of all, I felt sorry for
disturbing them! I don't blame them for being
cranky!LOL
too late to do anything about that first snake.
The fact is, they exist, and they exist in my
yard, so I took their picture. No statement..just
a picture.
