Smoke, Haze and Heat

I just wanted to put up one picture from last Sunday, the 24th, that I took of my favorite, close-to-town view of the Continental Divide. Sunday, you could barely make out the Continental Divide, an if there wasn't just a bit of snow left up there, you might miss it completely. There were fires to the North, West and South at this point, all far away, but not far enough to avoid all that smoke. It had also been very hot for days and there was haze from that, as well.

We've had the haze and heat, and some scattered
grass fires but nothing bad like yall have been
having. Hope things are getting better and yall
get some rain soon.

There have been some scattered showers, but not
nearly enough to really do any good. Too bad
there isn't a way to share with the folks who
get too much rain at one time. Maybe it will
change soon. We can hope. Thanks, Delana!

We all hope and pray that your fires will be out soon ... and with no more loss of life. It would be great to see this view when the air wasn't filled with smoke.
