It looks like evergreens are trying to take over this beautiful patch of red stone, but it will take them as long time! In the man time, it is a pretty break in a sea of green. Taken from McClure Pass. I like the cloud shadows, too.

I heard the wildfires are finally contained.
got some good rain, so people can breathe easy
for a while. The temps are headed back up, so I
hope it lasts. Now they need to catch the creeps
that looted people's houses and cars when they
were evacuated. That takes a really rotten kind
of person!
