From wikipedia since I'm sure others are interested in its color:
"significant amounts of glacial rock flour(clay-sized particles of rock) flow into the lake, and these suspended rock particles give the lake a bright, turquoise color."

Looks like Peyto Lake I love! Been there three times - first time in the late 70's when you just crawled up on the rock and looked - no parking lot or observation platform then! And there was more water in the lake. You have captured the beauty of one of the most beautiful spots in the world very, very well.

Banff is in Alberta, Canada on the border of British Colombia. Peyto Lake is about - as I remember - maybe 40 miles north of Banff along the highway to Jasper. This is one of the most photographed lakes in North America.
