A short lasting flash of color in what seemed to be a secondary burst when there was no color when the sun set. An enjoyable sunset despite how brief it was

Love that oblique angle that sends the sun's rays flaring through the atmosphere - makes for a gorgeous afterglow!

As so often happens, the glow that flares up after you think the sunset is over is much better than the actual setting of the sun. I've seen it so many times myself, but lack the know-how to give it the treatment you manage so skillfully. You've got my 10 for this GIF, Daniel!

Hurricane765 UPDATED 1/11/12: Hello fellow photography lovers from all four corners of the globe! I am a 22 year old weather and nature photographer currently attending The State University at Oneonta as a Meteorology Major. I have been shooting for three and a half years now and have made outstanding progress in my art through learning techniques, strategies, perspectives, and learning about photography as a whole. I was a photographer for the Oneonta newspaper "The State Times" last semester and plan to be one again in the spring. Also, for the month of January, I have a gallery of 24 of my photos on display at my local library. This sums me up in a nutshell so please, if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or anything else, feel free to message me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
