Fog lays heavy along the river which feeds Ward Lake. Spawning salmon are the only things active this quiet morning

Oh my, where to begin on such a wonderful picture. I love everything about this photo. The stark silence, the quiet stillness, the shrouded mystery that the fog affords, the feeling of isolation and aloneness that calls forth a time for reflection and growth.

Thank you, Judy, for a beautiful photograph. ~Helen

Wonderful shot with a wonderful composition. Love the fog and the trees in and out of the fog. The little house really makes the shot so interesting. Nice work, Trigirl Debra

About Judy
Judy My spouse and I have found a happy home in Southeast Alaska. We flourish in this temperate rainforest on one of the many, small, rocky islands in the Alexander Archipelago. We receive an average annual rainfall of 13 feet which keeps us green and provides for our needs, but you can imagine how much we celebrate our occasional sunny days. Since we are protected, by nearby islands, from the open ocean, our channel waters are often calm and glassy, although fast moving storms can instantly whip them into a dangerous frenzy. Our community is surrounded by plenty of wild backcountry, so for us, it's the best of both worlds. Come take a walk on the cool side! We hope you enjoy the visit.
