This lake is at the end of the road in the backcountry of Revillagiggedo Island in the Alexander Archipelago of SE Alaska. Fall color is beginning here, although the mornings are still balmy after the sun rises. Early morning is the best time to enjoy the quiet and maybe hear a wolf call from across the lake.

You're going to make me want to jump in my car and head for Alaska. Such grandiose scenery with lush forests and vegetation. What a magnificent little lake and creek hidden in the flora and fir trees. Thanks for sharing these wonderful scenes with all of us. ~Helen

This is a beautiful scene and a beautiful capture! And makes me want to be right there, on a crisp autumn morning to hear the call of that wolf across the lake! Congratulations!

About Judy
Judy My spouse and I have found a happy home in Southeast Alaska. We flourish in this temperate rainforest on one of the many, small, rocky islands in the Alexander Archipelago. We receive an average annual rainfall of 13 feet which keeps us green and provides for our needs, but you can imagine how much we celebrate our occasional sunny days. Since we are protected, by nearby islands, from the open ocean, our channel waters are often calm and glassy, although fast moving storms can instantly whip them into a dangerous frenzy. Our community is surrounded by plenty of wild backcountry, so for us, it's the best of both worlds. Come take a walk on the cool side! We hope you enjoy the visit.
