It's 13 stories tall and approx. 1/2 mile long across the Des Moines River valley just west of Madrid, Iowa. The lights are LEDs mounted to steel frames, the frames are intended to be a stylized version of the coal mine shafts from back in the day when they were a major industry in the area.
