This is the largest Union Jack in the world,first painted on the doors of venture Quays in 1977 for the Queens Jubilee.They then repainted it this year for the Queens Diamond Jubilee just before she visited the Island on her tour of the country.The quays where originally built for Saunders Roe where they built their flying boats.Christopher Cockerall tested his first hovercrafts here too.
